ZACROS received the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Industrial Science and Technology Policy and Environment Bureau Director-General’s Award for the monomaterial Refill Pouch “New Pantene Effortless Series” developed with P&G Japan

ZACROS, a global leader in flexible packaging for liquids, was recently recognized with a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Industrial Science and Technology Policy and Environment Bureau Director-General’s Award in the 2022 Nippon Packaging Co., Ltd. sponsored by the Japan Packaging Institute for its monomaterial refill pouch “New Pantene Effortless Series” developed with P&G Japan.

A “New Pantene Effortless Series” refill pouch uses a sustainability-focused monomaterial pouch from the MONOSOLUTIONS™ series, ZACROS’s original monomaterial packaging brand developed by ZACROS. The product is sold through various channels, such as drugstores and online shops, contributing to the spread of monomaterial packaging.

Features of ZACROS’s monomaterial refill pouches

Because conventional refill pouches are typically made of multiple films laminating together, they were difficult to recycle. To solve that problem, ZACROS developed and mass-produced all PE flexible pouches, which optimize recyclability with a barrier property that prevents deterioration and a strength that can withstand actual use.

ZACROS’s Initiatives for a Circular Economy

ZACROS has been leading the market with a sustainable refill culture in Japan through manufacturing refill pouches. This award-winning “monomaterial refill pouch” is one of the MONOSOLUTIONS™ series, which promotes the transition to a circular economy.

ZACROS’s monomaterial refill pouches are easy to cut by hand, easy to pour, and resealable. ZACROS now offers monomaterial flexible pouches that can withstand a content of 1,300 ml.

ZACROS is developing eco-friendlier horizontal recycling (pouch-to-pouch) with monomaterial flexible pouches. ZACROS will continue to think beyond packaging to contribute to society and the environment.
